Good morning and happy Saturday 🥳 I have coffee, I haven’t got up yet, all is well with the world 😁
I have no idea what to do with myself today. I should clean at least some of the house 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
it just seems so awful to have a day off work to do some work!

I think I have read a Nigel Slater one about his childhood, but not any others. 

I took hound out for a drive today instead of tomorrow, she had a lovely time sniffing through the open window, but is moaning already! Apparently making coffee is boring. She follows me from room to room complaining unless it’s something all about her or food!

Happy Saturday @WinterWarrior. I've read Nigel Slater's 'toast'. For some reason I seem to recall you're supposed to pass the book on to somebody else although don't quote me on that. Have a great day.

WinterWarrior - don't beat yourself up about the money bits, it's being aware and then trying to improve which is important, if we did everything right I don't suppose we would be on the boards and missing out on all the banter and support we get on here!

It’s raining here so MrWW can’t play out in the garden. He will cheer up with a bacon sandwich when I get sorted…as he feels the frying pan is much too complicated 🙄 Luckily he can work the coffee machine or his card would be marked 🤣
Thank you nannyg for your kind words, I am really struggling to improve on the spending. It’s the instant gratification of getting something or giving something that is hard to kick. I need to find more joy in saving. Even when I know I have no money left I still have the savings in the back of my mind. I have had to split them over several accounts. I know I get less or no interest this way, but they are out of sight, harder to grab and also because I’ve never had savings before I feel safer not having all my eggs in one basket! They aren’t even a lot in the scheme of things, but I need to keep them as a little safety net. I was so excited with £1500 in premium bonds, then I read a thread on mumsnet and loads of people had the £50k maximum 🤣 no wonder they were winning.
I see you all understand about moany Labradors too, thank you 😊 She has had her breakfast, but is having a constant whine at my feet because it’s Sunday bacon time 😬

Our cat is very keen on bacon too. We do make her single medallion last her for several days - for a posh cat she has some decidedly dodgy food ideas.

@CRANKY40 one of mine used to like raw bacon and raw mince … I miss her. 

I have spent money today… on a wonderful purple planner by clever fox. It’s so pretty and it has stickers! 

It should arrive on Tuesday. I should really have Monday right through to Friday as no spend days now!
I know I keep saying it, but I’ve had a terrible month for spending, I will turn over a new leaf for the last 2 weeks, please do tell me off if I spend anything else this week…please!
