They said they would send it to the dbs itself, I rang up to chase up my daughters dbs as she hadn't had it in post yet nor online certificate and asked about mine too, gave them the Company who requested it and dbs company said they've had nothing in my name but that my daughters had been posted, next day hers arrived

This may not be of help but I had an interview once, the place seemed great, got the job and then I had to ring them twice as my contract hadn’t arrived

That should have been an alarm bell

I eventually got the contract once they’d actually sent it and the job was awful. I was looking for a new job within two weeks. The way they treated customers was awful, I was also told to lie to customers which I was very uncomfortable doing

I would continue to job hunt. I don’t think saying things are slow should be a huge issue, after all they are! And if it is an issue it probably isn’t somewhere you want to work anyway

You must be exhausted walking 90 minutes each way, what’s that, four miles?

5.5 miles each way, n kids to get back to. They sent me provisional conditional contract n I've heard nout since

If this is what they're like now, imagine what they'd be like when you're in your role - they'd probably mess you about with pay, holiday, hours, etc . I wouldn't take that risk - I would keep job hunting.

That's what I'm thinking, yet I had an email an hour ago for the training by a training company though nothing from the employer themselves

This is why I'm umming and arring at the aspect of potentially starting there, I now have a phone interview for a hopeful back up job to turn to just incase I still hear nothing
