Visa Gift card (gospendit.co.uk) - where can I use this card?

    OP.

    The website says "These Gift Cards are welcome anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted in the United Kingdom.".

    So it's probably important to understand exactly what message you get when trying to use the gift card. I'd also second the suggestion about contacting the gifter, explain the situation and ask them to raise a formal complaint with gospendit, who are apparently regulated by the FCA.

    the message is "card declined", Sainsbury even print a receipt for me that the card is declined.
    During my call with the customer service, I said I would like to raise a complaint too. The customer service said he can log a internal feedback, but there is no complaint procedure...

    Try using it to pay part of a utility bill account, online or by phone.

    • The Card Number (the 19 digit number found on the back of your card, above the barcode)
    • How you came into possession of the card

    Thanks, I emailed them to raise an official complaint
    Didnt want to call because it wastes a lot of waiting time, and from my last experience, the customer service told me there was no complaint procedure, but only internal feedback...

    Will keep you all updated on the status.

    Dear sir/madam,

    I would like to raise a formal complaint, please find details below. Please reply with an acknowledgement upon receipt.
    Appreciate you can reply to my complaint in 5 working days by 16th April 2021.

    I cannot find a retail shop nor any online shop that accepts this Visa giftcard. I called on 29th Mar 2021, the customer service cannot even advise me where I can use the card. I requested to log a formal complaint, but the customer service said he can log only internal feedback, and there is no complaint procedure in place.
    With this email, I would like to raise formal complaint on the service I got. Also, I want to know where I can use the Visa gift card (please provide the list of retail shop name and online shop name please). This is because I had tried many retail shops and online shops, but all cannot accept this card. A few examples are Tesco, Sainsbury, Amazon, Paypal and etc.
