Following paypal losing money paid from my bank, them blaming the bank, the bank proving it was paypal`s mess, then paypal admitting liability and said money suddenly appearing in my account, then countless toing & froing twixt them & me for over a month, I was offered a paltry sum in compensation. I declined, stating it was an insult and that I required x-amount. The message crew said to phone in, so I did forthwith. During the tel call, recorded, as are all my calls, to them on 05th April, they agreed to pay the increased sum into my account within 24hrs. No show 3 days later, so I phoned them and played the recording. Silence, badly-meshed cogs whirring around at the other end, and then eventually they said it would be escalated to their supervisor. I love that word, escalated, trouble is nowadays it means zilch. Again, no-show three days later. Meanwhile I`m keeping the pressure up through the messaging "service" in my account....because one has to, or else these multinational incompetents close the case.
My question is, can anyone instruct me how to sort out this stonewalling by them? Is there a way of getting beyond paypal`s wall of incompetent Customer Service agents? Without writing or doing some sort of banned circus act?
Thank you

What actual losses did you suffer to require x amount of compensation?

You are not 'entitled' to compensation, so if you don't get any you won't be losing anything.1

What did they offer and what did you request and what actual losses did you sufferI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0

First of all a ten quid `goodwill gesture`...that old chestnut...
Then I had them up it and recorded their voiced commitment to paying the upped amount within 24 hours. I would think that recording should stand up in a claims court, wouldn`t you? It is evidence.0 -
Which is how much?0

Make an official complaint to PayPal wait 8 weeks and then complain to the fca financial conduct authority1

I'm surprised you're still a PayPal customer either you leaving or they deciding to decline your business.0

Why are you being so cagey about how much they offered?Dobearspoopinthewoods said:First of all a ten quid `goodwill gesture`...that old chestnut...

I think you meant the financial ombudsman service. The FCA are a regulator - they set the rules but they don't deal with individual complaints. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride1 -
Did you inform them upfront that you would be recording the conversation and do you have it in durable means that they accepted you doing so?Dobearspoopinthewoods said:First of all a ten quid `goodwill gesture`...that old chestnut...

And why aren't you advising what losses you incurred?
Or do you think that just because a mistake is made you are entitled to be compensated?1
