Virgin broadband downgrade 200Mbps to 100Mbps

I'm looking to reduce my monthly outgoings, and currently have my Virgin package under the spotlight. I've been monitoring my internet utilisation for some time now, and it's apparent that the 200Mbps tier is overkill for my household. Before I downgrade, I'd just like to ask if anyone has downgraded 200Mbps to 100Mbps, and have you noticed any change in service reliability or consistency as a result?
Thanks

There is no reason why the service reliability should be any different, its the same infrastructure. In terms of speed, unless you are a particularly heavy user, then 100Mbps is usually more than sufficient for a household.0

I downgraded to 100mbps and it was fine, I work from home using video conferencing and excel all day with zero issues and no noticeable change. I regularly get 110+mbps when running a speedtest.

Contacted VM to review my package today, and they knocked £42 off my monthly bill for essentially the same package. Result!1
