The contract is up on my main Three sim only, I got another a few months back on a great cashback deal as a backup (works out about £5 a month) and want to make that my main now, As both are on Three do I request a PAC, and then use it on my other contract sim, or do I need to PAC into a PAYG for a day or two and then onto the other contract sim?

From other people's experiences it seems that going to another suppliers Paygo for a couple of days and then transferring back may be more reliable than trying to get the phone number swapped.
I've never had a contract phone (except when the company paid for it and even then the mobile phone number worked through the company switchboard and was the same as my deskphone extension) and so only have experience of swapping between providers, rather than between sims on the same network.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
The same as Dave. Recently took up a better and separate deal with Lebara. They will transfer the old number to the new deal, if contacted by phone/chat but the old number package transfers to the new package (so I was told by the rep.).Nothing to gain by that!I, therefore, had to get a payg sim then port to that and then to Lebara. A bit of a faff but didn't take long.0
