£1k on an office chair? I know these things are subject to many hours of sitting so must be fit for purpose and importantly support the spine, but you do not need to spend that much surely.
OP - as another poster said I'd be interested to know how you position yourself on said chair. Maybe its time to focus on your sitting posture? That may be the most cost-effective long-term intervention you make.
What I perpaps didn't say is that all those chairs that I had all had different issues as opposed to the same one. Eg the back of the chair loosing it's fixation, the surfaxlcenpeeling off, the chair is not stayigin the top position(problem with the mechanism) etc. So guess the issue is generally a quality as opposed to me doing someting wrong.
How tall is your husband? I have just read a couple of reviews saying the chair is not goodfor tall people becuase of the headrest endiing up across the shoulders.amd not the head?
Awful for a 6' 5" 300lbs person - the seat wont be anywhere near high enough am I am 99% sure they arent rated for that weight - adjust ability is poor at best as well
I'm 6' 3" and 250lb (ish) and have used a Noblechairs Hero for 2 and a bit years with no issues.
They height ram is longer (ideal for tall people) and reinforced to take the weight
