Problems with Plusnet, is it best to change provider?

I have had 6 months of frustration with Plusnet who because I asked to have my call package taken off for 2 months whilst I was abroad, which trip got cancelled due to Covid, now have spent almost 5 months telling me they couldn't add it back on through IT problems and charged me each month for calls and they had to keep crediting my account back with the charges. Now they have offered me a new contract from 30th April (my contract end date) after I threatened to leave, but at the price of £29.29 but for just 3 months with the calls package included back in but then the price is subject to an inflation increase from June for the next 12 months and I would be paying £31 per month. Meanwhile I could get a similar package with Now Broadband for £23 per month for 12 months + £5 for the router P&P charge.
I don't know NOW Broadband but wondered whether it would be worth my while trying to haggle with Plusnet for the same priced contract as NOW Broadband and 12 months length that I have been offered? Any advice ?

Plusnet have no end of billing system issues which have been going on for months, not uncommon for the system unfortunately to forget about credits or offers, I've posted before I've had to constantly whinge at them about offers vanishing into thin air.See the Plusnet community forums, nothing has changed in that regard and I doubt it will any time soon. The broadband itself is fine though. The only thing to say about Now TV is that it is repackaged Sky, if that makes any difference. It may do for some people.0

Does that mean you don't like NOW Broadband or it is lacking in some way ?Neil_Jones said:Plusnet have no end of billing system issues which have been going on for months, not uncommon for the system unfortunately to forget about credits or offers, I've posted before I've had to constantly whinge at them about offers vanishing into thin air.See the Plusnet community forums, nothing has changed in that regard and I doubt it will any time soon. Doesn't mean anything. It may not have been obvious to you that Now TV is Sky in different packaging, just pointing it out.Much like Post Office and Shell are repackaged TalkTalk, John Lewis Broadband is also Plusnet in different packaging if you were looking in that direction. If you're happy to stay with Plusnet, phone them up and say Now are doing this that and the other for <whatever> and I get <everything but the kitchen sink>, what can you do for me.1

Thought you would like to know, phoned Plusnett Retentions Dept. and after I explained all the problems I had had, they have offered me my original package and cheaper than with NOW Broadband, albeit there will be a slight increase as per all contracts with the rise in inflation which will be added to the price in June, so all good!!Neil_Jones said:Doesn't mean anything.
