Cheap Energy Club FAILURE TO SWITCH ME & NOT REPLYING TO EMAILS

Hi, Has anyone had a poor experience with the Cheap Energy Club? Is it part of the Martin Lewis financial empire? On 16th February, I was emailed a confirmation from the CEC saying that my switch was in progress, however, they failed to switch me and I am now paying a full standard tariff with my Eon, my existing supplier, which is expensive - I wanted to switch to Shell Energy. I have emailed the CEC twice, but their response has been no response. This was my first experience of using them and it will be my last. I was going to take out a Resolver Case against them but despite Martin Lewis supporting Resolver the CEC is not one of the companies registered with them. Is there anything I can do to resolve this matter? Sorry to be so angry.

Have you had a "Sorry you are leaving us" from Eon; or a "Welcome" from Shell ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I don't think so?

PCWs are doing nothing more than acting as an intermediary. You are not paying them for a service so no contract exists. Your contract is with your chosen supplier; hence, the need to self monitor progress. All suppliers will send out a Welcome Message setting out details of your contract and your right to cancel.0

Martin Lewis sold this site many years ago.
You perhaps did not know this?
And you have posted in the Liquid Propane Gas and Heating Oil forumThe world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
The Cheap Energy Club does not seem to be working as it should. It would appear that it is not updating customer related information.I switched to Avro from Scottish Power in Nov 2020.The CEC seems to think the switch is still in progress.0

I switched to them last year via CEC after a Shell tariff was highlighted and recommended. CEC also offered intervention should a switching customer experience any issues.
Well I did have billing issues and I still do. I contacted CEC and their response did nothing to help.
Please, please, please, do yourself a favour and do not switch to Shell. I'm dumping them as soon as my contract is up.0 -
