Some of MNVOs and even packages on the parent network don't provide full network access.

EE 800MHz 4G coverage is very valuable for indoor coverage but is only available for EE phone/sim only and BT Mobile customers.
I switched to 1P mobile.  They use the EE network AND they use the 800Mhz Band 20 and provide VoLTE and wifi calling.

The reason i switched is my previous operator never managed to get wifi calling to work even thought they said is should.  And as far as i can tell (please tell if you know otherwise)  1P Mobile are the only MNVO to offer wifi calling and VoLTE (RWE say they will soon)

In most cases with these if your handset supports it then you'll get it, most obvious exception to this appears to be Sky Mobile where if your handset is not on their supported list then you won't get it - even when your handset would support it.
Dead right.  Annoyingly Sky Mobile told me my handset was supported but wifi calling never worked.  Switching to 1P with the same handet and wifi calling works fine.

It's all very well changing to a network that piggybacks another.  The trouble is that you might not get all the features of a full network.

e.g. You can't use the 5-digit text numbers on Plusnet Mobile

I'm currently using Spusu (MVNO) having switched from EE and so far found the following after about 12 months of usage:

    1. Coverage is identical to EE.
    2. Some short codes when texting are not supported (mostly charitable giving)
    3. Roaming in EU is standard and does not cost extra.
    4. Neither 5g or 4g speeds appear to be capped so far.
    5. SIM only prices are very competitive and significantly cheaper than EE.
    6. It's quick and simple to move between tariffs.
    7. You're not allowed to use Spusu sims in 5g routers (according to their customer support).

Overall, very happy with the service I've received so far.

I switched from BT mobile to Mozillion. Both piggyback EE. No troubles so far.

100gb per month, 25gb per month of EU roaming. WiFi calling, volte. Speeds and network coverage I would say are identical, I can't tell the difference. Allow tethering as well. No sms short codes but I can live without that.

    All for £7 per month
