Installing a gas hob in quartz above a drawer unit

I have a new Wren designed kitchen,  started July 2021  £17.000… not worth it!… and  Wren chose and supplied  a  gas hob, a  Zanussi,  for in their 20 mm quartz worktops with cutlery drawer directly under it. The gas engineer my contractor supplied left me with a serious gas leak with the hob, luckily I didn’t try to use it, a gas safe  inspector shut it down and  6  experienced gas engineers since then say there is not room to connect the gas or comply with Zanussi’s fitting instructions. Wren sent a kitchen installation manager who said (on  a spreadsheet on an internal email) I have measured but  I am  not a gas engineer, and Wren have made several suggestions about cutting out the quartz which were no use..and now want to remove the quartz worktop and quartz upstand and leave me to remove the cabinets,  find an engineer to connect the gas and workmen to put the cabinets back. The last engineer I asked said it won’t help and there won’t even be room for my  carefully designed, custom made glass photo splashback…although Wren say they will consider replacing it..,but if there will be no room???? This has been going on over a year. I am  73 with no relatives left and it is driving me potty. I always had a gas hob in the old kitchen, but Wrens worktops and cabinets are smaller. That was never discussed with me. Any suggestions gratefully received. Wren insist they are right and everyone I have asked, and written reports, are  wrong. I have 65 pages of  records. Thanks.
