You do seem to have an Electricity Meter on an E7 tariff  - quite why when you have gas I don't know.

Can you try and read the meter please - you may have to press either 9 or 6 several times. What you are looking for are screens with kWh  and R1, R2 and total on them..  Ignore anything which says kVArh or kWAh or similar.

@ibiza1984   Watch out for the decimal point !

PS You have one of the most unfriendliest of meters -  I had to read my MIL's  with a torch under the stairs.

Could hubbie double check R2   - at 6055 it is less than the Sept reading of 7253.   Could it be an 8 not a 6 ?

    R1 for Sept to yesterday is 10442 -  9156  = 1286     (approx 2500 for a year £400)

    If R2 is 8055 then the R2 becomes 8055 -  7253 = 802 (approx 1500 for a year ) £75   A little high but you do have a new baby

and all becomes very average for  gas heated house  Add Standing Charges and VAT - a total bill for year  of £850 ??

E7 is possibly beneficial  - the issue seems to be the initial reading.  What does the final bill from your previous supplier say

Make sure the immersion heater is off - much cheaper to use gas

A question do you have an electric shower ?

@Robin9 this is the issue, sept 7253 is an estimate I’ve attached a photo confirming it’s definitely 6055

yes to electric shower, gas charges I am not questioning as that was a cold winter and I have the heating on most days. And it’s actual readings - Just the electric showing as estimated

Hmm - I rather think you are stuck until Edf take over your account and can respond to the estimated reading

@Robin9 I’m so furious that GNE have done this, and in limbo until EDF take over, I have the administrators details but I can’t imagine they’ll be much help?
