Selling a car from home.

If you are going to be with him you could try wesellanycar - we managed to sell the MILs car to them and got rather more than we were expecting (don't quite understand why) - but the whole process took less than an hour.
You will have to take it to the local place though - they tend to be in the car parks of supermarkets and garden centres around here.0 -
I/we followed the advice on here and went with Motorway in the end.
Put loads of photo's onto their site and the next day i get a call from them and they asked a few more questions and 4 more photo's were needed and then the car was listed for sale at a reserve price of £2,600.
I get an email the next day after 4PM and the best offer was £3,100 and that the dealer will be in contact to arrange collection and payment.
He did call 2 days later and he arranged to collect yesterday 7/5/21 and he turned up half an hour earlier than stated which was good and he looked over the car and then we did the paperwork and he transferred the full amount asked into my dad's account and drove the car away.
Well impressed with Motorway.
Now as for Wizzle their offer was £2,100 and after the car went onto their site the 1st offer was £2,000 and the dealer called me at 11PM to ask about the car. On Wizzle the advert stays live for 1 week and people bid for the car so the offers went to £2,400 which was from the 1st dealer so i did not take that offer and after the ad ended i get an email saying the best offer was £2,599 which was from the 1st dealer that made a bid of £2,000.
Thank you all for the advice/tips on sellingthe car this way.2 -
Good result in the end. Even if he had drove it to the supplying main dealer they probably would have just offered rock bottom and then sold it on to one of their used car trader buddies who they would usually offload their old part ex's to.Boohoo said:I/we followed the advice on here and went with Motorway in the end.
