Vanguard order completed but not showing?

Thought I'd check on here before contacting Vanguard.
Placed my first investment order last week for my S&S ISA, relatively small in monetary terms just to familiarise myself with the process. Since placing the order, I had a 'you have pending orders' message on my portal overview screen. The order has been completed earlier this morning and this message has changed to 'no orders pending' however in another box it states 'you have no investments.' And in another box it states 'why not consider making an investment.'
Should I contact Vanguard support to query this or do completed orders take a short while to replicate through? In short, should I wait a few hours and check again?
Thanks

Depending on when you placed the order yesterday at 11am would have been the likely dealing point - Vanguards site is slow to update and its likely that the fund will not show in your account until tomorrow.1

whatstheplan,I find Vanguard very responsive and helpful with telephone enquiries. However, the combination of covid, Easter weekend and the new tax year may cause minor inconvenience. Vanguard are usually a responsible, reliable provider and I'm sure all will be clear soon. Regards1

Thanks all, yeah I've read mixed reviews re: how quickly they process orders and reply to queries. This doesn't overly bother me as long as my requested investments go through within a reasonable length of time. I think they aim to complete orders within 8 business days however for some investors it goes beyond this.0

Vanguard settlement varies from 2 to 3 days from the trade.
They use FNZ as the software. On the intermediary side, most FNZ platforms have a live screen and a snapshot screen (which doesn't update in real time). So, maybe Vanguard are not making the live screen available to you and only using the snapshot one which only updates at certain points in the day. (guessing as I dont use Vanguards platform but many of the FNZ platforms are very similar).
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.2 -
If dunstonh's guess didn't clarify the matter for you, and you think it takes 8 business days, there is still a full week before that is up. I don't think Vanguard will be breaking any rules or deliberately holding up the transaction, just doing as per agreement. Regards0

Lots of platforms are like this when buying funds, it's pretty pathetic in this day and age - it's almost as though the platform and fund managers are communicating by fax. There's really no excuse for not having a real-time view of where your money is and whether you've traded the fund yet or not.1
