If I leave TalkTalk with Youview box, will I need to send my Youview box back and will I be able to use it with a new provider?

Depends upon TTs terms .New provider you should be able to use as a Freeview box /recorder .0

Not sure about TT, but we still have our YouView box from when we were with Plusnet about 5 years ago. I don't think there's much value in having them returned. We use it for some apps and a back up pvr if we overload the schedule on our Tivo box.0

Ask Talk Talk or their online Community? Or check your contract with them?
They may well ask you to return so they can "recycle" the TV box/pvr and router-modem?
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Returning-your-TalkTalk-equipment/ta-p/2348381 suggests they may charge - but you'd have needed to sign up to that contract term (and it may only apply when cancelling early within a fixed term contract)?
I left and returned to TT a year or two ago and never had to return anything.0
