Looks pretty marginal, so in my view (for what it's worth), you'd need pretty convincing and damning evidence to turn this into any kind of showstopping issue. The LA Highways department is the place to start any enquiries via a vis the status of that few yards of road. The angle of the ANPR cameras seems to target very little of it.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

We recently had our Notice of Allocation, giving a hearing date of early September, and filing / serving dates of next week for Claimant, and the following week for Defendant.
To our surprise, today we received a Notice of Discontinuance.
Thank you to everyone whose help and advice gave us the confidence to fight this.
We'll keep an eye out for the consultation, when it comes.

    Cheers!

WOW a hearing in September ... over 3 months away.   Either they could not wait for money or they knew they would lose anyway ...... Probably both ?

    Well done.

As you know there are going to be 1000's of rent arrears cases going through the county courts. All parking companies are going to wait months if not years
It is said that some 40,000 people due to covid, are in rent arrears, some estimate it is near one million

These parking companies will get a double whammy, covid first, the second being the courts over run with more important cases ........ parking claims are the bottom of the list

By the time it actually gets to court, the parking company could well have of gone bust ?

So A WARNING to parking companies ..... waste your money with a legal and wait a very long time. for a hearing and from what we see. you might have a 15-20% of winning ... MIGHT ? the scam no longer works

Just seen confirmation that Peel (landowners) requested the cancellation. Plan A, again!
Our email, passed to Excel 14 days later, and confirmed a further 14 days later. Of course, Excel have a "Client Cancellations" dept, or at least, person.
    Thanks to @dav3 for info.
Eventually landowners will realise that they are spending more time and money than these "parking managers" are worth.
