in Water bills
When you set it up it asks you how many people live in the property and then calculates the amount as its just me I selected one person and it calculated I would pay £2.50 a month this seems way to low is this right? or do they calculate it on what your previous bill was?

The standing charges alone are a minimum of £73 a year for metered water. More if you have a surface water drainage chargeThe charges are here: https://www.southwestwater.co.uk/siteassets/document-repository/charges/sww-household-charges-scheme-summary-2021-22.pdfThe average consumption for a single occupant is 55 cubic metres(M3) a year. Although many say they can use less.55 M3 will cost £259 + £73 standing charges. As Southwest water is the most expensive in UK there is a Government rebate of £50 pa.If the property was empty I suppose it is possible that there were only standing charges of £73 - £50 = £23pa That is assuming an empty property still gets the £50 rebate.

It was empty for two months so maybe thats why plus I had a letter last year about getting £20 back something to do with shares or something like that.
I took a reading this morning and sent it in, In October the reading was 02 and now it's only 09,that doesn't seem to be alot of usage 🤔
Is there a converter/calculator I can use to see how much I have already used since last October
Screenshot of my account £2.50 going out each month

The charges are shown on my post above. It would appear that you have used only 7 cubic metres since Oct which will cost approx £34 (assuming no surface water drainage charges) + Standing charges less rebate.
