I am with Sky and my landline has been out of action since Saturday for the fourth day, also affecting my Broadband. Sky say that openreach only work weekends on BT faults. this seems grossly unfair. We are in our late 70s and rely on our landline
It is impossible to contact Openreach to check when I will get it back and Sky are next to useless in getting any help
Of course you can't talk to Openreach, you are not their customer.  You are a customer of Sky and that is who you need to talk to.  The interface ISPs/telecos have to BT wholesale allows them to pick available dates to book technicians directly.  That yours has paid for a service level that doesn't give same day / next day availability is not the problem of BTW or Openreach.

I recon there is a competition within Sky towers amongst the customer service representatives, who can tell the biggest load of nonsense to callers , without cracking up with laughter, I recon whoever told you this rubbish will be in with a chance of winning.
Openreach do offer different levels of service to service providers , BT pay Openreach more per month per customer for the ‘top’ level of  service  ( 2 day repair ) perhaps Sky only pay for the lower tier response, but that’s Sky commercial decision, pay less , get slightly worse response.
AFAIK  , with the poorer service level agreement, OR will look at your fault like this,  you reported your line Saturday, it’s three working days , Monday being day 1, today (Tuesday) day 2,  so if it’s fixed by close of play Wednesday, then you ( or Sky ) really have no complaint.
OR do quite often work weekends , even though they are not ‘working days’ , but they don’t just deal with BT customers on weekends, (contractually Saturday and Sunday are not ‘working’ days )
If you were a BT customer your ‘fix’ date ( or compensation  due ) would be close of play today ( Tuesday ) the weekend still doesn’t count, some report faults and get ‘fixed’ the same day ( irrespective of the ISP ) a lot depends on what the issue is and the amount of work in the area.
You cannot ‘speak’ to Openreach, because you have no contract with them , your contract is with Sky.
