Vodafone Broadband price rises?

as i,m sure most of you are aware its that time of year again with price rises, my question is if your with sky broadband or talk talk (and maybe some others ) your Free to leave penalty free, yet with vodafone your not as its in the clause, is this allowed? yes i know if its written in the contract but what i mean is if sky and others your allowed ot leave free of charge why is vodafone any diffrent? apart from its written in the terms, why is ofcom allowing the increase when others dont have it

i know that, but i mean why hasnt sky or talk talk followed suit? sky have never had this in their terms, for broadband you could always leave if there were any increase in price, my point is is it even legal for others to do this even tho its in the terms why do ofcom allow this if others dont even do it

Depends what's in the t&c  when you sign up.......couple of years ago i signed up with John Lewis £75 Quidco cashback and free Google 7" Hub. One month later they increased prices by more than CPI, I was free to leave and joined NOW broadband on 12 month contract with £100 Quidco cashback. I'm with Vodafone at the moment £31 a month for superfast 65mbps 24 month contract it came £85 Quidco cashback, £75 amazon voucher, Apple tv box (sold for £150) and 12 months free apple tv worth £5 a month. The t&c state no price increase for 24 months guaranteed so I'm stuck with them for full term but that's no problem as they are very good so far and it works out at £18.09 a month with a steady 69mbps speed. But if they try and sneak a price increase in during the next year I'm off.

win win for vodafone, why is it if it goes up we end up paying more, yet if its lower we dont get diddly squat

"For customers joining or upgrading before 9th December 2020:

Each April your standard monthly Plan Charge will increase by an amount equal to the retail prices index rate published by the Office for National Statistics in March (RPI Rate). We will apply that RPI rate for adjustment from your April bill. If the RPI rate is a decrease, your monthly plan charge will not be reduced."

VOD have emailed me telling me about their RPI plus rise of 4.5 % when CPI is 0.6%. Bizarrely they also say that it will go up another £3 because im out of contract !

Presumably they are trying to scare people into signing a contract with them to avoid the £3 charge.

Has anyone cut any retention deals with them yet ?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Hi, I was looking for info on Vodafone broadband, as my current contract with PlusNet is coming to an end and Vodafone currently is the cheapest deal (with MSE perk).
I have seen quidco and topcashback mentioned before but I don't really know what they are /how they work. Could you tell me more please?
    Thanks
    Aurelie

    Quidco and Topcashback .
You join and get cashback on offers .
You cannot go via MSE as well .
Tell Plus Net  retentions you are leaving as you can get ZZZ for £x , see what they offer .
