The renewal letter is required to tell you what to do next if you do or do not wish to renew. That is in part to protect you as a consumer and also to protect the provider if you ignore the instruction.
I don't see the point in doing that. What would happen if I didn't?If the renewal notice says they will automatically renew then that is what they will do. Then you have a whole world of hassle you could have avoided.
