Blue_Doggy saidI hope so too, Brambling, I’ve had to raid the fat clothes suitcase for a pair of clean jeans to wear 😫 (they’re still too big, and I never want them to fit perfectly again!) but the ones I wore happily last year won’t go over my hips, and my gardening trousers - which I’ve been wash’n’wearing for the last few weeks - need mending.
I’m another who “suffers” from mouth hunger - definitely a first world problem. I’ve had to stop watching the TV cooking and dieting programmes, really anything about food, as they just make the symptoms worse.
I find mouth hunger is worst at night usually when I sit down with the TV or a book and as you say food programs don't help.
well done on the loss Ditty

Evening All,
Sorry for the absence, it was a combination of a reluctance to get on the scales and work being crazy busy.
Well done for losses and STSs and commiserations for any gains.
I can definitely sympathise with mouth hunger. A friend and I were talking the other day about the weight loss injections and came to the conclusion that they probably wouldn't work for us as our overeating is generally very little to do with hunger.
Brambling I probably shouldn't recommend these but I find bra extenders are great when they're a bit uncomfortable but you don't necessarily need to go up a full size.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -

scales faced this morning the first time in a while and I can live with a -1lb loss 🙂 the weekend will be sorting Tee shirts to see those that fit well and those kept for not going out daysLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
Morning All
Weighing in with a loss of -1lb fairly relieved as was well off plan last week with half term but I think all the walking must have helped. I'm with you on mouth hunger particularly in the evening after dinner, watching telly with a cuppa, my mouth definitely wanders into the kitchen looking for 'something' hence I'm now combing intermittent fasting with SW so come 8 that's it I start my timer no more food until lunch time the next day, I think I'm the sort of person who can't be left to my own devices I need rules, or someone to tell me no sternly!
Welcome coveredinbees, I follow SW from home. Have you tried slimmingeats.com she has some very tasty recipes and all SW friendly?'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin5 -
Morning everyone.
I have avoided the scales last week due to wedding, birthday, holiday, bad cold followed by vicious chest infection and total lack of willpower. Today I am back to where I was last time I weighed in, so I am thinking of it as two STS in a row, and right back on it today.
I am a bit undecided on the method. I have found Slimming world-esque diets to be the most effective, but the hardest to keep going, and calorie counting is an absolute pain in the Rs.
Does anyone know of a British version of ITrackbites etc? I have found it is thoroughly useless on the free setting, because it is all American with American measurements. Maybe the version you pay for has a database includes more, but there is no way of finding out until you have paid.
All I want is to put in the exact weight of the food I am using in grams, and it counting the calories for you, rather than being told that 100g of chicken is such and such and I have to calculate what 117g grams of it might be. (I cant)
The Weight Watchers app does this, but you have to add it all up yourself, and it costs a fortune.
Sorry for the long ramble, I am encouraged to see so many of us doing well, and that those of us who arent are sticking at it!

Just checking in to mention that I am not intent on ending the quarter on a high - or should we say low.
Method:
Exercise - listing it on here:
Today swim(DONE) and walk
Fri bike to work and a walk - No and No
Sat : Club run 8-10 miles No EVENING WALK DONE
Sun : Lake swim DONE AND WALK W FRIEND
Mond: Club run DONE
Tue: pool swim not sure
Wed: Club run 7 M
Thu : walk or kayak! I need to get that kayak out of the bag! Pool swim.
Food wise:
Who knows I am just trying to combine healthy eating, minimal snacking w interim fasting - which does seem to work well, in particular when I'm at work. Sorry to be a bore, but I need to /want to get closer to my ultimate goal this summer, which is just under a stone.
Happy sunny Thursday everbody.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

You're not a bore Ditty it's why we are all here
I try to follow a SW type diet, when I do it probably it does work I did go to meetings 10/12 years ago and lost 4 stone unfortunately life happened and I dealt with it by eating and reclaimed it plus some 🙄 the problem with having my gall bladder out was I could eat the three Cs again cheese, chocolate and cream amongst other bad things.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4 -

There's the effort in the first place as you enter the food item with weight and calories (and anything else you want to track - I do the full works including protein, fibre and salt) but then a search will find things for you another time and you copy and paste the information into the day's record. I think most of us probably have a lot of repeat items - I find bananas are usually 100g, 115g or 125g for example and so you only have to work out the values for each once. (In fact you could put it into Excel and, with a bit more effort, be really precise but I don't worry whether it is actually 115g or 117g.)
I have a new table in the Word document for each day and Word will add the columns for you. I suppose it depends on how well you can use Word whether this works for you.4 -
I missed out a weigh-in last week and am stuck at 8 st 7 lb. So, Brambling, please would you add two more STS for me?4
