I thought it was a platform for buy/ sell.
Son has used them in past to purchase and sold at profit.
But he could have lost as well. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Neither Bitcoins nor Coinbase existed in 2008 according to Wikipedia (Bitcoin was invented in 2008 but the first block was mined in 2009) so I'm not sure what you are reading.Coinbase is one of the larger platforms which reduces the risk that you hand over your money and don't get Bitcoins back. However cryptocurrency should never be held on an external platform for any length of time, as not only do you risk it being stolen / lost but relying on a financial institution to hold your tokens defeats the theoretical point of cryptocurrency. Not your keys not your coins bro.1

So are you saying that it is unstable?

I think this is a cripto currency chart I found0 -
Why do you think those are crypto currency charts? Apart from the titles, the time line starting in 1970 should be a hint.

The charts are certainly not cryptocurrency charts. They relate to commodity indexes. The charts are comparing commodities with equities. I've no idea where the dotted line on the first chart comes from but I'm sure that Dr Dennin's book will explain everything. The charts are analysing and, presumably in conjunction with the book, having a go at predicting commodity prices. They have very little relevance to cryptocurrencies.0
