    For many it's more convenient, not having to stand in the cold/rain at a petrol station, only to queue behind someone wanting coffee, doesn't excite me at all.
    Just pointing out that plenty manage just fine without home charging.
    I do have a drive and home charger, but I rarely actually used it.
    Whole rows of unused rapid chargers at a Park and Ride near work, 1/2 an hour on there at a lunchtime and that was me with free fuel for a week.

    Funny how this got on to EV's. The OP stated they preferred a petrol, manual SUV.

    As they have been so specific, it's not a great leap of the imagination to presume they had already considered other options and dismissed them, whatever the virtues and drawnbacks each might have.

    Perhaps this is why we've not hear back from the OP, they wanted steak but got offered a salad!
