  • Glad you had a nice Easter MT 🐰
Good luck with all things house related.🤞 It's a stressful time , and not something any of us envy .
It's good to see your work situation is good .
Believe it or not , I need a haircut ✂️. It's getting to a stage where the top of my head is like a helicopter launchpad 🚁.   I'm not going to diy ..yet
I wouldn't worry about the weight tbh . I'd say wait until you're settled into your new home , and then possibly amalgamate something into a new routine .
    I'll leave it there ...

Thanks AC.  I think you're right about waiting until I've settled into my new home to tackle my weight.  What I've decided to do is get some better eating habits in the meantime as that's one of my worst bad habits. When I move in it'll be easier to go for lovely walks so that'll be a good next step.

A helicopter launchpad hairstyle   Brilliant!  Maybe you could start a new craze?  If a Mohican can take off, then why not the HeliPad Style?

I've messed this month up completely now regarding my finances!!!  I was under budget for my MOT which was great, but when I tried to arrange monthly car insurance based on wanting to get rid of my current car when I move, it still worked out expensive to cancel my policy mid year or update it with new car information.  It was nearly £60 cheaper to pay for the year and I can amend the policy through the year for £20 if I get a new car.  So I've put the yearly policy onto my credit card which I won't have to pay until the end of May, but I hate living so far ahead of myself.

That's completely thrown out my YNAB numbers, so now is the test for me keeping it up to date as I won't find it fun to look at it with lots of yellows and reds in it.

Ho Hum!  It's just a hurdle though, and it's a hurdle I can get over.

While I do some clearing this weekend, I'm going to need to find some things I can put up for sale too to help me counteract some of these car expenses.
  • Hi MuffinTop!  Just wandering through the other new diaries and came across yours.  Yowzers!  £50k to pay off and a house move...that’s long term dedication right there.  Hard luck on the car insurance though, that’s really unhelpful.

Good luck with the clearance and mega-Shpocking!  I’ll be following your travails with keen interest ☺️

I too always have the same 'heart skip' when I look out and see the car isn't there, every year without fail 😅.
Glad it passed the MOT, one less thing to worry about.
I feel the same weight wise, I put mine down to step count decreasing during covid as I'm not making the 15 minute walk to and from the work car park, 2,4,6 times a day. Need to really find time to make up for these steps!

Fingers crossed for good news about your move 🤞

That’s a really good point on the steps bellevie. As well as the commute I would also walk around the office a lot too and found it easy to get to my 10,000 steps. Now I probably do a fraction of that.

I think today has been successful.

I had some packing boxes which I’ve put together. I managed to fill 4 of these. I’ve also created an untold amount of rubbish bags. So now I’m surrounded by boxes and bags all around the house. I’ll take the filled boxes into storage but I don’t think I can do much with the bags just yet.

Tomorrow I need to head back into the loft and I’m thinking I’m better off sorting through things up there rather than drag it down to sort out. I’ll see how the head room goes when I’m up there. To be honest I think I’ll have to sort things up there as I believe there are large boxes full of items so I won’t be able to bring those boxes down without emptying them first. I’m so sick of it all now though. I may also need to order more boxes for packing.

Financially this month really is becoming a write off but I have to be ok with that as I need boxes and clearance companies etc.

I keep stressing about how much is left to do, but I have booked off 2 weeks from work soon so that will really help.

I think I’ll find a good film to watch now and settle down for the evening. Then I can get back to it all tomorrow.

    Happy weekend to you all.
