Glad you had a nice Easter MT 🐰
Good luck with all things house related.🤞 It's a stressful time , and not something any of us envy .It's good to see your work situation is good .Believe it or not , I need a haircut ✂️. It's getting to a stage where the top of my head is like a helicopter launchpad 🚁. I'm not going to diy ..yet
I wouldn't worry about the weight tbh . I'd say wait until you're settled into your new home , and then possibly amalgamate something into a new routine .I'll leave it there ...2 -
Thanks AC. I think you're right about waiting until I've settled into my new home to tackle my weight. What I've decided to do is get some better eating habits in the meantime as that's one of my worst bad habits. When I move in it'll be easier to go for lovely walks so that'll be a good next step.
A helicopter launchpad hairstyleBrilliant! Maybe you could start a new craze? If a Mohican can take off, then why not the HeliPad Style?

YNAB updated and looking a bit of a struggle for this month. It's fine as I can catch up with it all when I get paid but I do need to be a bit more careful than I have been so far. Only another 3 weeks until payday!!!
After reading Rosa's diary I've placed an order for a food delivery. I struggle to make myself decent meals each day and on days I work it feels even harder, so this will hopefully get me back into some good eating habits.
Car has been taken to the garage for its MOT. Praying it'll pass. It's been running well, so I am hopeful. Plus, I've hardly used it the past year other than the odd trip to my Mum.
People are now starting to invite me to meet up and I'm really unsure how I feel about this. Nothing Covid related, that's never bothered me. During lockdown I started some hobbies to keep me sane and really worked out my passions, and now I look forward to my own time to get on with those things. I just have to learn how to decline an invite without feeling guilty. Also how to word it so it's not offensive in any way. The government needs to set up "how to integrate back into society" workshops for us introverts
Just looked out the window and seen a gap where my car normally is which made my heart stop for a second!!!!Does anyone else do that when their car is in the garage!!!
My garage has just called and my car passed!!! YAY - what a relief. So I've over budgeted and can move that money to where I've already overspent.

I've messed this month up completely now regarding my finances!!! I was under budget for my MOT which was great, but when I tried to arrange monthly car insurance based on wanting to get rid of my current car when I move, it still worked out expensive to cancel my policy mid year or update it with new car information. It was nearly £60 cheaper to pay for the year and I can amend the policy through the year for £20 if I get a new car. So I've put the yearly policy onto my credit card which I won't have to pay until the end of May, but I hate living so far ahead of myself.
That's completely thrown out my YNAB numbers, so now is the test for me keeping it up to date as I won't find it fun to look at it with lots of yellows and reds in it.
Ho Hum! It's just a hurdle though, and it's a hurdle I can get over.
While I do some clearing this weekend, I'm going to need to find some things I can put up for sale too to help me counteract some of these car expenses.2 -
Hi MuffinTop! Just wandering through the other new diaries and came across yours. Yowzers! £50k to pay off and a house move...that’s long term dedication right there. Hard luck on the car insurance though, that’s really unhelpful.
Good luck with the clearance and mega-Shpocking! I’ll be following your travails with keen interest ☺️Short termLong term

Today has been a mixed bag. My plan was to clear away the rubbish I’ve already brought down from the loft, but having to check through everything is time consuming. I found some old letters from a lifetime ago which were good to read. It’s funny how our memories distort over time and these letters were a great truthful reminder. They made me see some things from my past in a better light so am grateful for that. Letters are now in the bin as there’s no point in me keeping them and I wouldn’t want to read them again anyway.I still have a lot more stuff to dig through but am hoping to get that complete tomorrow as well as packing up some non essential items that are getting in my way. Then I need to clear the rest of my items from the loft and I’ll start to feel less overwhelmed. Unfortunately I put some valuables in the loft so I can’t do a blanket sweep and throw things out. Plus I want to make sure I don’t throw bank statements in the general rubbish and that I’m able to put them aside to burn.Earlier I contacted my solicitor as I haven’t had a response regarding my buyers wanting to complete before my house purchase. I think I’m going to work in an ASAP timeframe though so that I’m ready for anything. She’s chased a response for me but I obviously won’t hear now until at least the middle of next week.Other than that I’ve washed my bedding. I do love a fresh bed! I also received my food delivery so I have some decent meals in. I just need to add some fresh veg which I’ll get in the morning.Yay to the weekend!5

I too always have the same 'heart skip' when I look out and see the car isn't there, every year without fail 😅.
Glad it passed the MOT, one less thing to worry about.
I feel the same weight wise, I put mine down to step count decreasing during covid as I'm not making the 15 minute walk to and from the work car park, 2,4,6 times a day. Need to really find time to make up for these steps!
Fingers crossed for good news about your move 🤞MFW

That’s a really good point on the steps bellevie. As well as the commute I would also walk around the office a lot too and found it easy to get to my 10,000 steps. Now I probably do a fraction of that.2

I think today has been successful.I had some packing boxes which I’ve put together. I managed to fill 4 of these. I’ve also created an untold amount of rubbish bags. So now I’m surrounded by boxes and bags all around the house. I’ll take the filled boxes into storage but I don’t think I can do much with the bags just yet.Tomorrow I need to head back into the loft and I’m thinking I’m better off sorting through things up there rather than drag it down to sort out. I’ll see how the head room goes when I’m up there. To be honest I think I’ll have to sort things up there as I believe there are large boxes full of items so I won’t be able to bring those boxes down without emptying them first. I’m so sick of it all now though. I may also need to order more boxes for packing.Financially this month really is becoming a write off but I have to be ok with that as I need boxes and clearance companies etc.I keep stressing about how much is left to do, but I have booked off 2 weeks from work soon so that will really help.I think I’ll find a good film to watch now and settle down for the evening. Then I can get back to it all tomorrow.Happy weekend to you all.4
