Scam or otherwise, I wonder how you convince someone that their energy bill is £35,000 in arrears?  You would need to spend almost £10 per day and pay nothing for 10 years to get to £35,000.

I doubt that anything in this post is exactly as it seems, but direct contact with one of the agencies already mentioned can quickly figure out if the claim for £35,000 is a scam, if the assertion that there is a large debt being chased is real, or if in fact anything in this post is real.
There is help out there for people genuinely in fear like this just have to reach out to the appropriate agency, not a forum...

No I would not exactly say that, at this stage.

The OP is disabled? And has said that word at least 7 times in their post?

And also feels it is discrimination??

Which it is not, if they actually owe any payments?

Normally I would say that would be irrelevant,  but the OP clearly  needs some type of help.

As others have said, do not understand how the OP thinks or has been told they are £35000 in arrears?

Perhaps the OP as suggested should contact CAB  for advice.

single parent and disabled being made homeless by Npower who claim I owe £35,000…
As a single parent and disabled with a disabled child. I am appalled that Npower suddenly hit me with a £35,000 bill and refused to talk to me about it. I put in several complaints, all ignored. I contacted ombudsmen and they told ombudsmen to not get involved. and worst of all they wont talk to me and are now threatening to steal and  sell my house to get the money back!  there is obviously a problem, yet they wont look into it. They have wrong information and wont put it right. and as a single person in a 3 bed house, I cannot physically run up £35,000 electric bill! I am at my wits end, they know I am disabled and all they did was send the bill in larger text which doesnt help or explain anything. This is discrimination against he disabled and against human rights. And to top it off they have blocked all my attempts to communicate with the CEO or try to approach anyone higher up in the company. Their entire attitude is "You owe us, and we are taking the money one way or the other" there is no care, understanding attempt to help? There is no acknowledgment they could be wrong, they say the meter is fine but wont even check it!  and for a disabled person it just adds to the pain and stress I am already going through and makes things worse. I need some drastic help and fast! can anyone get through to someone higher up in NPOWER?

So where is the discrimination? If Npower have made a mistake with the bill that has nothing to do with you or your child being disabled and if your accusing them of stuff like that unjustly then I'm not surprised no one wants to talk to you about it.

Also the only figure you have mentioned in this post is the £35,000 bill but nothing else. So when making a complaint what figures did you question and what evidence did you use to show it was wrong? Do you regularly read your meters and calculating how much it should be costing?.
If your just saying "this is wrong" in your complaint and nothing else then that isn't particularly helpful.

    @skiandu

Are you on npowers Priority Service register ? There is a whole host of support available from meter reads to large print etc.

As @Tokmon has said there appears to nothing that nPower has done wrong on the "disability" front.  There may be a billing error  at the root of this but that's not disability related but until you give us some more detail we don't know

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

I hesitate to say this but, given the urgency implied by the OP's post, the OP's first ever post, the alleged mis-treatmet by Npower, and the lack of any response to subsequent replies..........is the OP a troll?
My apologies if I'm out of order
I very much doubt you’re the only one thinking that....

Most definitely not, there's a concerning amount of one post wonders, never to be seen or heard of again.
Many share remarkable similarities oddly enough, would hate to think someone genuine needing help or advice gets lost in the mix because of such things.

Interesting the regular expert's  have not given  an input  into  the ops post?

Although  a bit literate.  Op appears fixated on the Discrimination  and
    Disabled  factor?

Ang even if ops statement is true?? £35000 about 10 years worth of usage.

    Really ??

It would be debt  collectors  not an energy provider?

Perhaps OP can come back with further  info, before any body else thinks this is troll posting?

    2 posters so far?
