How Do I Cancel My Orange Mobile Contract?

Please be patient with me as I havent really posted before so apologies If somethings may not make sense.
Last year I got my orange contract around sept time. It was an 18 month contract at £35 a month.I think its called dolphin. I also added on the free broadband and added the extra which was £5 a month. Due to personal reasons I had to move last month so therefor was unable to have the broadband. I have been with them now for a over a year and phoned recently about upgrading my phone and changing the price plan as I want a lower price. I was told by the adviser to ring back in febuary and that I would be able to upgrade my phone.
I saw a post on here a while back about Orange changing there terms and conditions so I thought I would try it out to cancel my contract but got a letter yesterday stating that I would not be able to cancel until my contract runs out which is in May 2008. I dont want to wait that long. I have seen better deals about that I would benefit from financially. I saw another post on here, stating that you can cancel but i would have to pay a fee.
Please can anyone give me advice on what I can do and what my best option is?Thank you very much and hope someone can help or guide me.

you can cancell anytime you like as long as you pay off the remaining line rental.
With the changes in terms and conditions i think they only give so many days in which to cancel after the notification of the changes, and you have to prove that the changes adversely affect you (I think)
No idea what the changes you refer to are though0
