Can I let the Sellers stay in the house for 3 weeks?

Bad idea to let them stay when it should be your house, as mentioned.I'd be OK with storing stuff, I'd just ask the sellers to stack it all in one room until they get it moved out. But the people need to be gone.0

Really they just need to find a storage facility and a hotel for three weeks. Why do some people find this impossible, whereas others do it spontaneously?0

The sellers don't need to do anything, the buyer agreed the date but is now wanting to move the goalposts. If they don't come to an agreement about completing early and the seller staying in the house then I don't see them moving all their stuff into storage, paying for rental and then having to do it all again in 3 weeks time.lookstraightahead said:Really they just need to find a storage facility and a hotel for three weeks. If the seller pulls out they pull out but will end up missing the SDLT holiday and the house they originally wanted.
The thing is none of us know the detail here, all we can go by is that the seller made it clear that mid July was the earliest they could complete to which the buyer agreed. Obviously the seller has valid reasons for this date due to relocating to America.0 -
This thread has gone on way too long. Letting the sellers stay for 3 weeks not viable. Plans change, the SDLT time table has changed, No harm in OP politely asking sellers if they would consider earlier completion, they can always say no. Thread answered.1

Yep I think it's turned into a moral discussion. Of which I don't appear to have any 🤣Scotbot said:This thread has gone on way too long. Letting the sellers stay for 3 weeks not viable.
