I'm being pursued by a Debt Collection firm on behalf of a private car park firm. My "crime" being that my tyres were ON the white line of the designated bay. Bear in mind, I was in an end space next to a wall. The reason I was so close to the wall, was to allow the elderly driver in the parking space next to me to open his door and get out his car. Being in an end parking bay next to a wall, but having my tyres ON the white line next to the wall, is resulting in me being pursued for £160. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello and welcome.
Who is the debt collection firm?
Who is the parking company?
It is time for you to read the fourth post in the NEWBIES thread which tells you exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters.2 -
and where did this dastardly deed take place?Ralph

DCBL are the debt collectors for "Parking Awareness Services Ltd", who own Hornby Road Car Park, Blackpool.
Thanks.0 -
I doubt that PAS own it , but I agree they probably are contracted to patrol it , to issue PCN s etc
That scenario is a typical sc#m of theirs
If it's a debt collector letter from dcb ltd , not legal , which it seems to be , you can ignore it , for now , but read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum as well , especially the Fourth post on debt collectors , plus the second post about an LBC and a SAR2 -
Thanks. Much appreciated.1

No different than any other case - see the NEWBIES thread for what to do and tell us when the landowner cancels it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
