Hi my water bill for the period above is 222.52 is that much ?
The meter is outside... can i ask them for a photo of the reading or they don't have to provide or take photos when submitting meter readings?
How can I be sure the reading is correct?

Is that £222.52 or 222.52 cubic metres?

No they don't have to provide photos. Some water meters are read remotely and electronically, I believe, though most are done by mk 1 eyeball.
You really should take your own meter reads - monthly ideally. I forgot last month and found a faulty device was overflowing and used 2-3 extra cu metres of water! LEAKS on your property are the most common cause of excessive water use. Check what your water company policy is on leaks if you discover you have one.
What do your previous water bills show for meter reads (cubic metres) and the current one?
Check your meter reading asap and compare.
It's possible the reader transposed a number when inputting it (albeit unlikely)?0
