Best, seamless wall filler for shallow dents to painted wall

I'm looking to spot-fix a few small, shallow dents to an already painted interior wall, using filler. I've seen varying techniques for this, including ready-made, powder, and also plaster.
Which ones would be best for my needs, and - importantly - offer the best results in terms of a seamless finish once painted?

Something like easyfill normally does the job. Should sand down so the repair can't seen.1

Investigate ‘Toupret’. From Screwfix or similar.
would've . . . could've . . . should've . . .

There's definitely no 'a' in 'definitely'.1 -
Or Ronseal 'fine surface' filler.Whichever one you use, apply with a wide-bladed filling knife held at a low angle so the layer isn't any higher than the wall surface - that'll make it easier to sand. If you find it's not enough after it's dried, just smear on a second layer, again using the surrounding wall as your guide. The worse part of these jobs is the sanding, especially if the filler and rest of the wall are different hardnesses. By smearing on just enough, sanding can be kept to a minimum.1

When filling small holes, fill the hole in one direction and scrape it off with the taping knife in the opposite direction
When filling screw holes on a tape and fill job you normally fill 3 times.0 -
Use a fine surface filler, Polyfilla or Easifill. Get the unmixed stuff and when mixing it up add some paint to the mix so you get a good matching base. Then sand lightly when dry using a fine grit sand paper or block.0

I tend to use a ready mixed fine surface filler, it only needs light sanding, if at all0
