Virgin media price hike

In January 2021, I was notified by VM that my broadband price would increase by £3. Therefore, i phoned up and renegotiated my contract for £22 for a further 18 months. For the first two months in february and march the price was £22, now in april it has increased to £26. For broadband only, is this a mistake?

I had the same problem. Basically they lied.0

The written contracts for broadband nearly always include an annual price rise now, often in a fixed calendar month regardless of when the contract started.Your only case against it would be if you were not clearly given the contract.0

Have you contacted them about this? As mse website said price hike just impacts those that had a contract before 24th mayGary1963 said:I had the same problem. Basically they lied.0 -

I negotiated a new price and they made it clear it would go up by £3.50 but I remember that I asked...the info wasn't freely given.0

I did indeed contact them. Was informed that I had been assured no price rise with new contract and that a manager would sort it out. Called again to be told that it hadn't been sorted and would be. But still not done. So cancelled. They want to charge a large exit fee. I complained. They said they would now not charge the fee. However as they have a track record of saying one thing and doing another I won't hold my breath. Been with them 7 years. Will never go back.0
