Any ideas what this is - small black box in car near fuse box

I was wondering the same but I found it out I had the same on a DS3 we are working on. Two wires go to Positives on the BSI/ Fuse bock to piggy back from it. One to an Earth. They all go into above an air duct to a big Vodafone tracker box. That smaller box is probably some sort of gyro to know the direction the vehicle is facing and maybe as a G-force device1

Did anyone manage to find out what it was?I purchased a car last year from Audi and have had the same battery draining issues over the past year of ownership.
I have been sent the attached picture from the dealership and after doing a search came across this forum.
If OP can back to me with their findings it would be much appreciated.

On an Audi you say? Probably the device that disables the indicators and keeps the headlights on full beam at all times.10
