Aghhh - why do people bid if they can’t buy

I can see it from both sides, really. I've been viewing for a few weeks (am a FTB) and some agents have put an INCREDIBLE amount of pressure on me to make an offer after one ten-minute viewing. I am a very cautious person and even if I loved a place, I would not want to make a decision like this in the heat of the moment. I would always want a second viewing and ideally a second opinion from a friend or relative. I know I could just pull out later if I changed my mind but that seems flaky and horrible. I am conscientious and if I make an offer on a property, I fully intend to buy that property. I feel worried that some EA's now think I am not serious about buying because I've said I've liked places and then not offered on them, but I just want to avoid doing what your buyers have done to you - making a rash decision and then regretting it later.0

I can see that. Don’t let estate agents pressure you - ask for a second viewing.
i viewed the house I offered on twice. Unfortunately if more than one person is bidding then it does put a bit of pressure on. But ask for a second viewing, ask if you can have 24 hours to consider. You will never get a huge amount of time - but don’t let them pressure you and there should be no problem with a second viewing0 -
I wish people would stop generalising. All sides can be a pain in the harris tbh.Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.1
