Thank you so much for checking in! It's been a miserable few weeks to be honest. Got to the final interview stage of one job only to be told that in the end even though they loved me, they felt the other person was a better fit. Got to the 5th stage (yes 5th) with another company only for them to say i didn't have experience in something that wasn't even on the job description. I would have never replied if it was because it's something I've never done.

Then I'm trying to plan a family holiday for summer because of some weddings and Virgin Atlantic are being complete and utter idiots about it. I have a voucher that I'm planning to cancel with them because they're just so incompetent. It's quite frustrating because prices have gone up in the week or so that I've been trying to get into contact with them. On top of that I'm having passport issues that I'm trying to sort out because of an incorrect application.

But luckily it looks like I've turned a corner. I've started seeing someone, it's extremely early days yet only a few weeks but it's looking positive (except I forgot his birthday and he's a bit upset 🙈) there are a few other worries but I'm taking it slow for now. And a few hours ago I've got an amazing call I GOT A JOB OFFER!!! The salary isn't as high as I was hoping but it's still a huge step from where I was before so I'm still infinitely grateful. I just hope the only way is up from here!

Ooh, congratulations on both counts! And don't worry about the birthday, how are you meant to remember that when it's so early on?

Thank you both, it's a huge weight off me. I was cringing at the amount about to go out next week with almost nothing coming in.

Massive well done on the job offer! Is it in the same field as before? When do you start ?

I'm excited for the potential relationship too, make sure he treats you right! Also you treat him right, it's only fair.

Hope you're feeling ok in yourself.

Thanks! I start in a few weeks, so using this time as my actual leave rather than my job searching leave as it has been for the past month. It's in the same industry as well, I work in tech so those are the roles I was looking for.

Yeah, I'm excited about the potential new relationship too. I didn't really see it as a big deal but one of my friends mentioned how this is the first guy in quite a while that I've been so comfortable with. I took him out for his birthday and we had a great time, so hopefully it continues in the same way (i'll be sure to treat him right too @killerpeaty).

I also managed to get a hold of virgin and finalise my tickets for the family holiday, work has said that I am fine to take those dates off as well. Now I just need to get my passport sorted and I'll be absolutely ecstatic!!
