Honestly can't blame you for feeling a bit sorry for yourself. I hope you aren't too unwell.
Good luck for your interview!1 -
*warning, rant incoming*
I'm in a bit of a low mood so i've just come here to rant and get things off my chest.
I'm really having a terrible time of it all at the moment. I started online dating again just before I was made redundant and I'm really mentally tired and feel like i'm telling everyone my life story every other day. I'm getting interviews but there seems to be endless stages and conversations to be had in-between stages. And don't even get me started on the men I seem to be attracting. It all seems rather doom & gloom at the moment. I feel like my savings will run out soon and i'll be stuck at a job where I can barely cover my expenses and alone forever or destined to be with some deadbeat father of 3 children that he never sees. 😩I had a bit of a cry today as I was so mentally overwhelmed and the person I was supposed to meet for dinner changed the time suddenly and we had a little argument that meant he called it off. I just really hope things get better soon.1 -
Lolu! Rants are accepted here!
Firstly, you will get a job, you are fabulous and you'll convince anyone of it. Secondly, you aren't going to be stuck with a deadbeat, you love yourself far too much to allow that.
Also dating is horrendous, it's awful and intended to drive you crazy.
Stay strong, you're a great person and you know it.2 -

Oh dear! If you've not met anyone you're interested in, might it be worth knocking the dating on the head until you've found a job? A girl can only concentrate on so much at once!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Thank you, your words are so kind. It just feels like life was looking up just last month and now i'm at a really low point. I've not been sleeping or eating well either, which i'm sure isn't helping. It started when I got Covid, so i'm not sure if these are the longer effects. I've been tossing and turning in bed for hours before I gave up and came back on here.1

Big hugsLolu, it will get better x
are you exercising? I can appreciate if you aren’t whilst recovering from covid but it might help with sleep and appetite- especially if you can get out in daylight hours.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Perhaps a gentle walk rather than something more full on otherwise it may delay covid recovery.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Have you got a daylight lamp or a sad lamp? It's very easy to feel low at this time of the year without all that's going on.
When I struggle to sleep, I put a documentary on and listen to it. Not sure if you're interested in true crime but there's a podcast/YouTube channel called casual criminalist which is very entertaining and might distract you while you are trying to sleep?
Been thinking of you.1
