Orbit Energy

I would be interested to see where everyone else is moving to. It would seem that Orbit are no longer showing the Cheap Energy Club list of suppliers and it seems that wherever I move to there will be a big price hike.0

You must be living in a bubble. High wholesale energy prices are impacting the whole of Europe. At times over the past few evenings, the spot energy cost per kWh for electricity has been as high as £2.50 per kWh. My advice: take a look at some of the variable tariffs that are capped by Ofgem. You will at least get price protection until the 31st March 22.CAP_3 said:I would be interested to see where everyone else is moving to. No bubble, here. I know I will be paying more, just simply interested in where others have moved and also if anyone knows why Orbit are not showing as suppliers on the Cheap Energy Club list of options.[Deleted User] said:

As they are a small supplier, and the only tariff I see on their own website is one that is priced 5% below the price cap level (so loss making based on current wholesale prices), perhaps they have requested to be removed to reduce an influx of new applicants
Why would anyone currently with Orbit be seeking to move away?
Welcome back to MSE, btw.
So nice to see all these former MSE users returning after after such a long time. I wonder if it is the new, magnificent forum format that has encouraged so many back?
Btw, how is that £1m bank account balance of yours coming along?

I’m also looking to move away from Orbit.
it will be a price hike but was aware their prices were under the market when iI switched to them back in April.
the cheapest for me comes up Utility warehouse with a price hike of 60 per year or on their fixed tariff increase of 160.
other are about 300 per year increase - Green and Eon next.
curious to hear what others are doing.0 -
I'm moving to Orbit's 5%OFF4LIFE tariff for the moment.Dahliaa said:I’m also looking to move away from Orbit.

I've moved from Orbit to Sainsbury's and moved my parents to Neon Reef. The latter is going through in less than a week. Obviously desperate for money.0

So I moved to Scottish power 2year fix.
price is much higher than Orbit but less than any of the tariffs they offer now.
actually I’m glad I went with big company given the situation today. Just hope the switch will happen and go OK.
otherwise was very happy with Orbit.0
