Did you notify the buyer when the courier was coming? If so, I would phone eBay again and say that you have tried twice to have the item collected but the buyer is not cooperating.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Second collection was arranged with the buyer.
  • Phoned eBay and explained the situation,  reply.. .

    This case is now closed

    Hello M,

We've reviewed this case and closed it without refunding the buyer.

The case won't affect your seller performance. Any Feedback left for this transaction will be removed.

The buyer did not return the item to you within the required time frame.

Just a shame I had to pay £5 for collection courier.

  • Message off buyer. ..

    Hi,
That is not a problem, as I get my full refund that will be the end of that.
as I had an anxiety episode when the coat came and was so small.
I suffer from severe mental health, generalised anxiety, disability conditions, constant pain 24/7.
I will go through eBay although they will most probably message you!
However how is this supposed conclude/get sorted without correspondence!
I have learnt through counselling not to avoid situations & bury my head in the sand so to speak!

  • Simply put, ignore.

That doesn't make any sense, perhaps it is just I'm reading it wrong?
Anyway as above just ignore it.  I don't like the 'disability' card being played as there is no need - this is just ebay and how someone is should make no difference to how they are treated.

  • Welcome to eBay roulette - it happens to every seller at some point. On the plus side, eBay have seen this scam multiple times so as long as you're in touch with them you should be fine. Here's some of my favourites from over the years!
    • I'm a busy doctor/solicitor/architect/professional, I don't have time to wait around for a collection just refund me and let me have the item for free
    • I'm a single parent/have a disability/am a carer/work shifts and can't return it
    • It's not worth the cost of returning it
    • Why do you need it back? What are you going to do with it? I already told you it's broken.
    • My family member is a solicitor and says I can sue you for loss of bargain unless you refund me
    • I don't know how to put it back in the box so I can't return it
    • I threw all the packaging away the second it arrived so can't return it
    • My close family member just died show some compassion and give me it for free
    • I already gave it away to my disabled relative/a charity shop, can't you just refund me
    • It was so terrible I immediately threw it away, it's in the bin so I can't return it

    Made me laugh. 😁
  • Had a email from ebay today...

We reviewed this case again and decided to refund £ 30.00 to the buyer.

The refund amount of £ 30.00 will be recovered from you by eBay.

so buyer gets a full refund, keeps the jacket and I also paid a courier to collect the jacket and buyer would not cooperate.
