Energy Switch from Scottish Power Final Bill fiasco

I switched from Scottish Power on 7 March 2021.  I had a message from them saying enter your meter readings so went on line put in Electricity meter reading but then the box to enter the Gas reading greyed out and I couldnt enter it.  Long story short there are now 2 bills 1 has been cancelled but I cant reconcile any of the figures in the final bill at all.  I believe that I am owed £72 they say I owe them £67.  Ive asked the bills to be explained and I was told trust me at this end it looks fine its your bill that messed up but honestly its OK! Given that Martin Lewis said only a few weeks ago to check your bills and payments when moving supplier I dont want to take Scottish Pwers word for it. Ive registered a complaint to hopefully get a bill that can be followed.  To add insult to injury they refunded me automatically £102 in December, ibecause apparently they auto refund any credit over £75!  I pay monthly DD that makes no sense at all surely I build up a credit to pay for my higher winter bills.  If they hadnt done that I wouldnt owe any money now. I really dont want to pay until I can see how they have worked this out. 

So my question is shall I cancel the direct debit which is due 1 April?  Obviously when I get the bill if they are correct and I owe £67 I will pay it.
