And consumers wonder why their energy prices keep rising?Cjhooker said:I have settled the case with SSE, they made an improved offer of £100 which I accepted. form my research and looking at recent Ofgem reports, energy companies are being pushed to review their customers accounts more frequently than the current 6 months. I know the majority of you think I should of taken this on the chin and accepted responsibility , but the fact that they offered £100 proves I must of had some fair points.4 -
the £100 will be pushed into someone else’s bill in the long run.
they paid you to go away and not necessarily accept any blame , you need to more proactive with your utility bills.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

Not exactly much incentive to do so having just been handed £100 for your "troubles" though really is it.welshmoneylover said:The £100 will be pushed into someone else’s bill in the long run.

Is there a way to get hold of energy companies previous tariffs from the last 2-3 years? For 2 years I had trouble with SSE billing being very inaccurate, I was on a standard variable tariff over this time which I would imagine was much more expensive than a fixed tariff. and they had my economy 7 meter incorrectly identified on the national database as a standard meter, so I couldn't easily switch suppliers. I would like to work out the difference between the variable tariff and fixed 2 year deal that I could have had.0
