My local Aldi doesn't seem to have any of these £6.99 crowns
the freezer was full of geese, and a few of the specially selected
joints though, The manager says they are getting some fresh crowns in
on Thursday guess these will cost more though0 -
we've got eight of us for lunch and nine in the evening and boxing day and I've bought a stuffed turkey crown, a gammon and a pork joint all from aldi but didnt have the turkey crown at my local one - hopefully that will be enough for lunch, tea and cold cuts for boxing day - if not they are all having porridge
finally perfected my goose fat potatoes on sunday (I've put on a stone in the process but they are fantastic and worth it!)Blah0 -
Thanks for the info on the crowns peeps, i saw one in tescos and considered it. I hadnt though of just buying the crown before, and that price is much better than tesco's turkeys! Thanks all.0

I read somewhere yesterday (possibly on the Christmas forum) that someone bought 25lb turkeys for £5 each last year in Sainsburys on Christmas Eve - question is, can I really face Sainsburys on Christmas Eve :eek:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

I decide to buy a Bernard M frozen full Turkey in the end that serves 8-10 people. It was the last one from my local Aldi and it cost me £8.990
