HSBC Mortgage application timelines
Comments
-
Has anyone had any experience in reapplying for a mortgage after offer expired? Does it take less time compared to a completely new application? We have just had to do this today and are concerned about delays as we are sent to complete by the end of the month!0

What timelines is everyone getting currently?
DIP on 31/10
Full application made on 02/11
Additional information uploaded on 09/11
Was hoping to receive an offer this week.
Thanks0 -

We are in a similar position but had a down valuation. We then renegotiated the sale price and was asked by HSBC to upload our latest bank statements. Our case feels like it has been ongoing now for nearly a month.

All the best MoonMonkey1. We got confirmation of ours today but they decided to lend us £100k less. Quite annoyed over this as it took them 2.5 months the to come to this conclusion. We are now considering changing mortgage brokers as it should not have taken this long to get this decision.0

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've seen nothing recently about HSBC's timeline.
Here's ours to date;
DIP 04/09/23
Application 04/09/23
Several requests for documents with the latest being today (25/09/23)
Just curious as to other's experiences as it seems to be taking forever! Fingers crossed we get our offer this week 🤞🏻.0 -
Our timeline with HSBC using broker.DIP & application 07/08/2023
Survey Text 09/08/2023
Broker emailed to say provisionally accepted 14/08/2023
Text from HSBC with full offer 17/08/2023Contracts exchanged and deposit paid 11/09/2023
Going to complete and get keys on the 16/10/2023
would have completed a lot earlier, but landlord asked for 2 months noticed.1 -
Thats so quick! Also going through a broker.
We've not heard anything about a survey yet, I think ours is taking a bit longer due to partner recently changing jobs, not great timing but couldn't really be avoided, plus I'm in receipt of PIP so have had a couple of queries around this.
Really hope that this week, is the week!0 -
To be fair I have been where you been, the wait game, (waited 4 weeks with Nationwide, to get a decline)
I know it’s quite stressful, I hope you get the news you need and good luck.
