Applied for 90% LTV16th June: Got AIP from NatWest via broker charging too much fees and indirectly forcing me full application with NatWest.21st June: Applied to HSBC Mortgage which was good deal compare to NatWest. Also, via fee free broker. All documents submitted upfront.25th June: Additional clarification requested on monthly commitment. Provided required info and silence since then.Unaware of proceedings at the moment. Whether valuation booked or not, any further queries from HSBC for me. Chased broker today regarding same.
Hoping for the best. Lets see.
We are applying with HSBC which makes sense for us because we've been banking with them for about 20 years now.
Would've thought this would be our advantage and even applying through a broker but turning out not to be the case!
Please do post any updates your end
did you hear anything back so far? HSBC seems slow for my case
Yesterday my broker had said HSBC requested me to send my job offer letter of employment.
I sent it straight away literally last night for him to upload so Underwriter could review.
Now just another waiting game frustratingly....
But at least I now know our application is somewhere in the pile amongst others (including yourself)!
My case is fairly simple and since the eos no update since last Friday... I am thinking my broker opening my file on Fridays only 😂
Hsbc might have done valuation already or may be waiting for something since Monday but my broker is not looking at it it seems.... Just my -ve thoughts I gueaa0 -

Also, told me she will update me tomorrow or Monday about latest. They are waiting for response from underwriter for the queries answered by MB.
Feeling like i am wasting my time with HSBC. NatWest seems very fast on other thread0 -

I just hope everything gets approved ASAP so that I can stop having anxiety attacks over it!
EDIT: Just noticed HSBC has done a credit check today so not sure if things are still progressing?0 -

Did the hard search show any mortgage amount? I recently applied Hsbc mortgage, and saw a hard credit search with amount 0! Is this a bad sign?
Actually I think this was the same when I was enquiring a mortgage through Halifax and my search results showed amount as £0 too...0 -

Also, yesterday got call from broker saying hsbc approved mortgage however 1400 gbp less than asked for.
When I checked experian I think.u total outstanding was 14k due to leased car and 2 loans of 3.5k each 😂
Now they went back to hsbc asking full amount with increased term by one more year. Will confirm me on Monday whether full or less amount.
Interestingly when I asked about valuation of property they said they can't see its done yet though instructed on 21st June itself. So not sure what it means approved or approved subject to valuation.

Feels like forever waiting the way things are going and anxious about the outcome! 🙄😂
Especially as we need to get our house valued but even that takes an extra few weeks!0 -
