That is a really long time beginning November, l just want a decision either way so can plan what to do.What extra supporting docs?? Have they asked for from you did you get asked for full credit report
They wanted another set of accounts from one of my directorships (they weren't due but thankfully had been prepared so didn't take too long to get them completed), then they came back asking for bank statements for November for both me and my husband (which we didn't have when we submitted the application originally as it was submitted at the beginning of November).
We just want to get the moving date so we can start arranging everything but it's all being held up with this application.Luckily you had them other statements, l think the only thing they haven’t asked for is my inside leg measurement it’s madness. With you wanting to get the move in date is your conveyancing near the end exchange contracts??
am not that far into it think searches have been requested,
mine is now with underwriters hoping to hear tomorrow or Monday fingers crossed it passes. It’s just all the uncertainty the worst part.0 -

Yeah our conveyancers have done most of the paperwork now, just waiting on this mortgage really. Its so frustrating. My broker is off now too, he did say they just need to tick the box and we would receive a text and email with the offer, doesn't leave much hoping for chasing it if it doesn't come through though.
Good luck, hope you hear back soon. The wait is the worst part isn't it. I contacted our broker on 1st November when our offer was accepted and it's taken us this long to get to this far. It's probably just over 6 weeks but feels like 6 months. Fed up with it now. My worst fear is for some reason they reject and we have to start again, I don't think I could cope with that after all this back and forth we've already been through0 -
I've chased them again today and my broker is off, however the admin lady told me service levels are at 8 working days so we can expect to wait until next week for a response. I'm fuming right now.0

That’s really bad Your conveancing is proceeding quicker than the mortgage the wait is by far the worst and not knowing.
and thanks still no update again today. If their service levels state 8 days why is it taking so long yours is at six weeks mine is at five weeks. Their service levels couple weeks ago was 13 days so they have come down.So your not even going to hear before Xmas so infuriating shouldn’t be taking this long.0 -
My mortgage offered got approved today so happy and documents e-mailed took 6 weeks.
good luck to anyone else in the process1 -

Thank you just a relief after so long organised a surveyor to inspect property.
Oh no least you know what the hold up has been now. I hope you find out this week before new year.
got my fingers crossed for you to. Post back when you find out good luck.0 -
Our mortgage application was submitted on 26th November after having our offer accepted on the 19th November and receiving a DIP.
We applied using a broker (Habito). We have chased the broker several times and each time we have been told it will be another five days. We are now at 23 working days and still no offer. Fingers crossed we will hear something tomorrow. The wait is agonising. Does it usually take this long?0 -
1st house lt initially took 3 weeks in April 2021 to get mortgage approved but the seller pulled out.
this time around had another offer accepted on another house application submitted 18th November, HSBC had valuation requested 29th November passed on the 2nd December, had to send full Experian credit report 15th December. then got e-mail with mortgage offer 29th December 2021.So 2nd time around took double the time, my broker advised they weren’t even taking calls as they are that busy.
if yours was submitted end November l would think you should hear shortly.
have They asked you for extra documentation or anything??0 -
The valuation was done within the first week. They have asked us a couple questions about any other house interests and if we had any additional income, but other from that nothing. We are both employed and in very stable jobs. We just keep being told it's with the underwriters and that we should get a text and email from HSBC soon. The broker seems to think we will know before they do. We are hoping for some good news today.0
