    You could buy a house or flat on the Wirral and still have capital left over!!!! Not a bad part of the world (just up the road from us) if you pick the right bits but if you're looking at relocating there a quick Rightmove search brings up stuff like this:-

    at just under 50k and over-55 only, lifts, on-site manager, etc.

    Being from the Wirral myself I can only agree with what GunJack says and that property looks an absolute steal with great views of the Mersey and New Brighton on your doorstep - sandy beaches and brisk walks!
