I’m moving from Glasgow to Cheshire. Would it be better to hire a company based in Glasgow or where i’m moving to?

If they're providing boxes etc, you'll probably find local firms more willing to take the job.

    Get quotes from both ends.
I'd still expect a local firm to be more suitable, as they'll want to visit your existing property to give an estimate

Local. They'll have to be with you early on move day! They may also need to load the lorry the day before.

It's a good idea to get the company to pack for you, so that suggests a Glasgow company would likely be better positioned to do this for you.
