I've relooked at this and I think you're right.Le_Kirk said:Hopefully if you post the info I have requested @KeithP will be along to give you definitive deadline but this from CPR: -(b) if the defendant files an acknowledgment of service under Part 10, 28 days after service of the particulars of claim. You add five days to the issue date (and providing you didn't submit the AoS inside 5 days) for service. Add five days to date of issue, then 28 days for filing a defence, which I make tomorrow but wait for @KeithP, meantime get on with defence, it should only take half an hour and then send it by e-mail to the address shown in the defence template thread.
If the car park did not display signs BEFORE it changed the rules, this is another good defence point.
Issue date 18th Feb
+ 14 = 4th March
+ 14 = 18th March
+ 5 = 23rd March
(AOS was 7th March).
I think in my head I had that you were allowed +4 but it's actually +5 as you have informed me.
I know the ability to read and count in something my 5 year old could do better than I can at the moment. It's this little panic that's distorting my brain!
Thank you.1 -
Sounds fine, now go and grab the template defence and bung in the facts about the car park and event, as the Defendant knows them (and we don't). This can be done within half and hour flat, and doesn't need overthinking.
You then email it as shown in the template defence thread, job done. Do it NOW and aim to have it done by 3:15pm (give yourself an hour from now). Don't tell yourself 4pm or you will get stressed.
Set an hour for this task of editing in your facts to the template, and you'll then have 45 mins 'faffing time' to add if you need it. For instance if you head goes to mush or you get fat fingers trying to email it, or get the email addy wrong and see it bounce back, etc!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When was the AOS done ?
AOS: 7th March. With a Claim Issue Date of 18th February, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 23rd March 2021 to file your Defence. That's tomorrow. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.6 -
Thank you guys. I'll have this done today and post it here asap. It will take longer the 30 minutes though as the kids have just walked through the door!!
I'll be back later

Dont delay, however. You must meet your deadline, even if you dont get feedback.
Set an alarm for 8am tomorrow to file it, SOLELY BY EMAIL. NO asking abouty MCOL!3 -
Guys, can I please just clarify (double check) that my PCN isn't a 'parking eye' one? I'm unclear on if parking eye means that it was done by an ANPR camera or if parking eye is a particular company/scheme? I have a feeling it's the latter. I can't see anything on the FAQ's to definitively say.
They didn't give me a ticket on the windscreen, it was done through post as they had me through a camera but it doesn't say 'parking eye' anywhere on the PCN.
I have attached the PCN - note I have omitted any details that can distinguish the PCN including any personal details inc amounts and pictures of the car (so don't worry if it looks like they've slipped on a technicality!) Thanks again.
I just want to make sure I don't use the wrong template!

ParkingEye Limited is the name of a company.
Your claim is not from ParkingEye Limited.4 -
ParkingEye is a Private Parking Company - yours is HX, so you can safely crack on with the standard defence template.4

As above , Parking Eye is a private parking company in Lancashire , in the BPA and using the BPA CoP , nothing to do with this and not a slang term for anpr cameras !!
Just one of dozens !
HX is your parking company , different address completely , IPC member using the IPC CoP , the NTK tells you they used anpr camerasWe already mentioned using the coupon mad template Defence and altering 2 paragraphs only2
