Please recommend Wifi extender with static IP.

Options
Hi .
I have a small business property and need to boost my signal to a couple of other floors above. I currently have BT business broadband. I have (need) a static IP address .
Can anyone advise on which extenders/boosters that will operate with my static IP.
I ordered some extenders from BT and found out that they do not work with static IP,....so I'm reluctant to buy more without some advice please!

The static IP provided by your broadband will be on the WAN side of the router to which your incoming line is connected.  Your "wifi extenders" will be on the LAN side so I don't see how they can change it.

Why do you need the static IP?

I agree, and don't understand the static IP address issue.  I understand why the business needs a static IP address as far as the outside world is concerned, but internally I don't see the need and any wifi extenders or access points will operate on the local IP addresses on the 'inside' of the router firewall.   Do you know why the BT extenders 'do not work' with static IP ?

As for the extender requirements, is it possible to run some ethernet cable to the areas requiring wifi coverage?  If so, then all you would need is an Access Point to provide additional wifi coverage.  Something like the TP-Link Omada series of access points would be ideal for a small business property.  They can be powered by PoE, so no need for ugly 'wall wart' power supplies and are available to fit into standard pattress sockets, which blend in almost invisibly.  They also start at around £35 so are very inexpensive.  https://www.tp-link.com/uk/omada/
