My 96 year old father in law has recently moved into a care home and we are selling his house to pay for the fees. There will be about £400k in total. Obviously the money needs to be easily accessible for ongoing payments to the home, but we are unsure where to put it. It has been suggested to us that an investment bond…

Thanks for all the advice. My husband does have PoA and we are obviously wanting to do the best for his dad. The investment bond was mentioned by a financial advisor used by my sister in law, but it looks like that is not the way to go. I'll look into NS&I instead. Thanks again.
