Solution for WiFi issues due to thick walls

Hoping that someone can help.
I'm with Plusnet and the speed of the FTTC connection is no problem. The issue is that the hugely thick flint walls in the cottage prevent a continuous signal throughout the house. It may be an advantage that although the walls are very thick, the floors/ceilings are just wood and lathe & plaster so they shouldn't hold back the signal.
Some years ago, I purchased TP Link Powerline Adapters/Extenders. I placed these in the rooms without signal and that has been a good solution. But now, the repeaters are 'losing' their network settings regularly so I need an alternative. I need some advice as I've been reading about newer more powerful Extenders as well as the Mesh alternative. Some reviews suggest that Mesh also struggles with thick walls.
Does anyone have any experience of this issue?
With thanks.

If you can run network cables it solves the whole problem. Under a floorboard?Wifi will struggle to penetrate thick walls but 2.4Ghz may be a better solution than 5Ghz:

Thank you.
We're rewired already so the network cabling poses a problem to life carpets etc. I will look at the link you sent.
Many thanks Neil0 -
Just an update.
I needed to change provider, so switched to BT who offered their router (BT Smart Hub) with up to 3 discs to carry the signal. The router itself has a much stronger signal than my old Plusnet model, and 2 discs enable me to carry the signal around the whole house for the first time.
