You can get a case for your 6s with a built in extra battery giving up to double the battery capacity of the phone. look for 'Mophie Juick Pack'

The best ways to extend the battery life is to not let it drain below about 20% and to not charge it more than about 80%. Also by opening any cover while charging will not overheat the battery.

Thanks everyone for the replies ,i have turned down the screen brightness to see if that helps ,went to bed last night at 10 30 phone was 90% charged ,woke up at 8.15 and screen would not turn on as battery was that low ,is it common for people to charge their mobiles more than once a day ?

Adjusting Screen brightness is rather muted if the phone is draining during the night, unless you have the screen turned on all the way through the night?

I will charge my phone later in the day sometimes depending on use but this differs for different people.

Did you follow Apples advice pages as I am interested in what apps are using the most battery. The information will give you the last 24 hours or 7 days and how many hours or %  for apps running on your phone  (settings/battery)

Turn off background app refresh if its on for any apps thats using large amount of battery (settings/general/background app refresh)

Also what is the maximum capacity of this new battery on your phone. (settings/battery/battery health). Mines is sitting at 95% and when it hits 85% or lower you could get issues.
